How big are school desks?
I’m starting high school this year and you know how like all high schools have those desks that have the L-shaped tops on them? Well I’m kinda over weight and I am just really paranoid about not being able to fit in the desk, or it being really uncomfortable. I want to know like how much space there is from the back of the chair to the part of the desk top closest to the chair. In other words, how much room for my stomach do I have?

P.S. Please don’t say “Well I’m sure it will be big enough” or “They can get a special desk for you” Do you realize how embarassing that would be? Haha. 😉

I do not know about the L shaped tops. Well I only know about one type of school desk and thats the flat square thing with 4 legs. And yes you should fit well unless your very over weight and even then I really do not know because I really do not know what type of desk that is or how big you are.
But there is one thing you can do. Look around at your school and if there is anyone else bigger then you chances are there has been people even bigger then you go on to high school so they must have desks for the larger people.

Hm… from personal experience, I’m going to estimate about 18 inches. I’ve seen people whose stomachs don’t quite fit in the desks, and it doesn’t look too comfortable. At any rate, if you’re really worried about this, try to let that inspire you to eat healthy, exercise and try to lose some weight before school starts (though you can certainly continue after you’re in school).

The desk size varies. Usually they mix the types of desks. Try to just estimate the right size desk you will need.
