education major with a criminal history?

im an education major im 27 and a 18 i messed up i have a misdemeanor charge of check deception. do you think that will stop me from being able to become a teacher?

It will matter in a couple states (automatic disqualification) but not in others. Contact the teacher certification board in the state you want to teach in and ask them. That’s the best way to know the right answer to the question.

No, well it depends..

since you were 18 at the time you can’t seal your juvenile record.

I mean people change, you’d be surprised about how many successful people messed up as kids!

That will probably depend on the state where you want to teach, and it might also be easier for you to teach at a private school.
