Get a binder for each class, and clearly label it. Put dividers in each binder with a section for warm-ups (if the teacher does them), notes and classwork, homework, and returned tests, and whatever else you need a section for. Every day, clearly label your notes with the date and subject of the notes, and corresponding text book pages if you have them (for example, a page of math notes may be headed Aug 20, 2007, solving complex equations, pg 570-573).

Save old tests in the section for review for finals.

Use flashcards for vobaulary or other things you hae to memorize for classes.

Keep an agenda and record HW assignments as soon as they are given. Cross them off as you do them in the evening. If a long term project is given, break it up into sections and record mini deadlines for yourself in the agenda. For example, if a teacher gives you a semester long book report assignment, every week aggisn yourself a certain # of pages, and take the last week to do the project.

I have a display folder for each subject, with a lecture pad/excersise book in one, as it is less bulky that a big binder, but keeps handouts nicely.

Organise your day the night before.

At least read over your notes daily and make sure you don’t put off studying!

Keep a diary and stick to it.

Keep a clean work area

get a binder and put dividers with pouches, so in the poouches you can put all your homework and papers you need, also a pouch so you can put your pencils, pens, eraser, post-its, and lead and clean it out every quarter
