Does anyone know of an online school that works with dial up?

I’m from Ohio, and two of my kids (ages 10 and 15) want to do virtual or internet school. However, we live in a rural area where broadband is not available. Does anyone know of an online school in which high speed internet is not a requirement?

You have OHVA available which uses the K12 curriculum. Our first year with K12 we only had dial-up and it was fine, just slow. The biggest issue was loading PDF’s, but OHVA will supply you with the student pages and teacher’s guides already printed from their system, so this isn’t a big issue.

The day DSL was available where we lived we signed up for it and we’ll never go back.

Have you considered Alpha and Omega cirriculum which has Switched on Schoolhouse? aop.com You receive all the work on CD, install it on your computer, and you don’t have to be on the internet at all. Everything is included, teachers answers, grading, calendar to set up your school year. I’ve used it for my daughter twice, and we really like it. It is self paced with as much parent involvment as you would like or need.
