Do I have to notify my college if I am dropping out?

I am thinking about quitting college and wonder if I should notify my school.

You absolutely should.

Apart from all the financial issues – if you don’t tell them you’ve left, they could charge you for extra terms of teaching they think you may have had etc.

I don’t see why you could be so lazy as to not tell them.

You don’t have too but be aware that if you drop out and don’t notify them you will receive failing grades in all the classes that you are taking. You can withdraw and get the classes shown as withdrawn so they won’t count against your grade point average should you choose to attend college again. Getting an F on 15 hours of credits will make it hard to get your GPA up later.

Of course. It’s the only way to avoid charges and failing grades. I took a break for a semester, and because my adviser was so slow about things, I almost failed all my classes. Look on your school website for a withdrawal form.

You will need to notify them of your dropping out of your classes, so that you will not receive F’s in them. As far as your future plans, though, you don’t need to let them know.

Why would you decide to drop out of college? It is one of the most important things you can do for your life.

Yes you do. Other wise you will fail the semester . The eailer you do it the better. Because you may be able to get all or some of you money back.
