detention drama?!?
My school doesn’t understand that i need early release and to be switched out of poetry class, so i keep getting detentions for not going. My mom doesn’t understand either. I don’t get along with the teacher there is no way to work threw it. What do i do?

Talk to your guidance counselor about it. They’re usually the ones in charge of scheduling. And don’t go to the detentions until the situation is resolved.

If you are rational enough to know what you like and what you don’t, then you shouldn’t go on with this. You should have a frank, open talk with your mom. You can seek the help of an elderly person in your family or among your family friends.
One should do what one likes and finds interesting. Loving what one does is the key to success.

Write a letter to the Superintendent, better yet if you know a lawyer, write it on his/her letterhead and have them sign it (my father did that once when his school switched teachers on him, and my brother was given a formal apology from the principal of the school…the principal also carried his desk while walking him back to his original class)
