You will have to submit to her a plan for how you will excel at the old school, a contract for your grades and agree to switch back to the other school if you don’t make all A’s the first semester. You will have to convince her that you will work harder at the school you want.

Believe it or not the overwhelming majority of parents really do want whats best for their kids. Put yourself in your mothers shoes, not wanting to go to a school because the uniform is ugly and you don’t like the teachers isn’t really a good enough reason for her to go to the time, effort and expense of taking you out of one school and putting you in to another. You need to think this through logically and come up with some better reasons. Do they specialize is teaching some subject that is going to help you in your chosen career in the future? Is it easier to get to, do they have a better academic record or do they have a great (insert fave sport here) that you want to be a part of. Make it seem like a good idea for the right reasons, not just because you aren’t getting your own way at your current school.

Your mom is not being a stubborn jerk. She is doing what a parent is supposed to – tell your child NO when it is not in their best interest. I think you are far better off in the private school. Get over it.

tell her that you cant make many friends at ur new school and let her know how its making you feel depressed to go without people to talk to and hang out with like a lunch and stuff. im sure if ur dad is on board,it could work. good luck =) and i was looking at the other answers…. bonesofateacher has a good idea

Sorry, but that is also my problem my parents told me that when I’m highschool I needed to transfer to another school but I respect their plan coz’ I know that they are just concerned for my future. I can still communicate with my friends in many ways.

You could tell her ” I want to go back to my old school! If you want me to do good in school you should let me go back because I would be comfortable there and my friends would help me do better!! I could ask people and friends if i know them..but in this school I can’t ask anybody if I don’t know them!!” I hope I helped!! GOOD LUCK!!
