How do you make new friends in high school?
I am really new to the whole public school system. I used to go to private school. How do I mingle with the new crowd?

Public school can actually be pretty fun. I was homeschooling until 8th grade, and now I’m going into 9th. It was pretty easy making new friends. When you find who you’ll be closest friends with in school, you’ll sort of know, and you two will sort of just click. I met my first friend going to public school because we had first hour and second hour together. We thought that was cool so we just kept hanging out. Then I met her friends and their friends and so on and eventually made friends with everyone!

um be yourself?
there’s nothing different about making friends in a public school than a private school lol. private schools just cost money. actually, public schools tend to be more accepting than private schools because a greater range of students go there. don’t pretend to be someone you aren’t. you’ll make friends.

just talk to people in your classes and eventually you will fit in somewhere
