Skipping a Grade?
My daughter is quite gifted and way ahead of all of her classes. She goes to a challenging private school and she is still easily the top in every class. We are moving to Arkansas and she will be in the 9th grade. The issue is that the school district she will be in in Arkansas counts the 9th grade as Jr. High School. In no way will her 9th grade classes count as High School credits. Does anyone here have any information on skipping into High School(10th Grade) in Arkansas? Any help would be great! Be very careful with that. I mean the credit and all. That happened with my daughter comming out of private school and going in to public school. By the end of her senior year after being bumped up a grade she did not have enough credits to graduate even though she passed all her classes. It was very upsetting for her. Talk to the schools administrator before anything seroiusly depressin and upsetting happens.
