At what age do students in the US learn about square roots and prime numbers?

At what age (or grade) are square- and cube-roots and prime numbers typically learned in a regular math curriculum? Thanks!

Square roots best shown by example 3^2 = 9 so the square root of 9 is 3. 4^2 = 16 so the square root of 16 is 4 Of course if you get a number like 5 the square root of 5 is 2.236and you would have to look in square root tables or use your calculator to get the exact value. Prme numbesr are those that cannot be factored,e.g. 5, 7, 11, 13, 17 ……

Probably in Pre-Algebra through Algebra

So that’s grade 6-8 (12-14).

I think I learned about primes in 4th grade, and square roots in 6th.

But you continue to use them throughout high school.
