Question on phrasing?

How do you assemble the words of “at,” “on,” and “in” when used in meetings?

For example: “I will meet you on this friday, in Yahoo’s Hotel at 9.00 at night.”

Are the words correctly used in that phrase?

you would say 9:00PM instead of “at night”

you don’t need the “on” before this friday.

you need the date.

I will meet you this Friday, Oct 5, in the Cimmarron Room at 9:00P.M.

There’s no need for the “on”. “I will meet you this friday” is better. I would say “at” Yahoo’s Hotel, although in either case I’d specify where “in” or “at” the Hotel. (at the front door, in the lobby, in the bar, at the front desk of the Yahoo hotel, etc.). “at 9 P.M.”, “at Nine in the evening”, or “at 2100 hours” could all be used, depending on the situation. While I’ve made no attempt at making my own entry correct, I hope it helped with yours:-)

The “on” is not needed and if you say “9:00 PM” you don’t need the “at night.” I would also include the exact date. “Friday, Jan. 12th”
