My 7th grade science teacher, oh god. That guy was a hot mess. It was one of my best friend’s neighbors, and that kid would have football games at his house. One time they left the football on the teacher’s doorstep & he came into class and threw a fit. And then a kid was like “Hey Mr. (not giving name for personal reasons), see you on Friday!” and then the teacher FLIPPED and threatened to call the cops on him. And my class had a bunch of @$$holes, so whenever they’d do something, I’d get blamed. The teacher sat us in alphabetical order, so the WHOLE YEAR I was stuck in the corner surrounded by 3 of the @$$holes, with 2 more behind me, & 1 to the right of me. So they’d shoot laser pointers at him, crawl around & write on the chalkboard, play with Teck Decks (which made the outlets on the lab tables spark & break), and 99% of the time, I would get the blame. He was possibly the worst teacher I had ever have, and he was just bizzare.

My 8th grade english teacher looked ALOT like Gabe Kapplen (Mr. Kotter on the 70’s tv show “Welcome back Kotter”) except he wore bright red or yellow suspenders everyday. He always had about 20 hat buttons attached to his suspenders and he somehow always found new ones. It was the early 80’s so hat pins were everywhere! Each new hat pin he found he would pass around the class and have us read it. Then he would try to tell us a joke that referred to the hat pin. He drove a green Midget and would stop at the local hang outs on the weekends with his copy of “Crime and Punishment”…which to this day I don’t think he ever really read…and just tried to hang out with us. His bushy affro and mustache could be seen from 50 feet away and he rarely put the top on to his car so it was always frizzy! His quirk was gummy bears, he was always eating them…always had them. He cared though, it mattered to him what happened to his students. I didn’t think about that then while I stayed in trouble all the time though π
