Johnny Depp had been in many hit movies. Sweeney Todd, all three of The Pirates of the Carribean movies; ‘The curse of the Black Pearl’, ‘Dead Man’s Chest and At world’s End, just to name some of his most recent. So far, he has been in forty-six movies, some of which have not come out into theaters yet. Clearly ‘Depp’ is famous for his acting but ‘known’ for playing odd characters. His first major roll was in a horror film called, ‘A nightmare on Elm Street.’ Where He played a main characters boyfriend, and one of ‘Freddy’s’ many victims. Depp was born in Owensboro, Kentucky. He is the son of Betty Sue Palmer and John Christopher Depp. His family moved frequently during his childhood and he, his brothers and sisters lived in over twenty different homes. When his parents divorced, he engaged in self-harm, due to dealing with family problems and being stressed. “My body is a journal in a way.” Depp has explained his self-injury. “It’s like what sailors used to do, where every tattoo meant something.
