Do colleges require a history or language (see details)?

I have to fill out this form that will transfer select high school credits into college credits at select schools (EEP program). I am most likely not going to major in either areas. I am wondering whether schools require a social studies course/ history or a language course? If I pay the money and fill it out, but dont go to a school that accepts the credits, I will not receive my money back. I am taking AP US History but my teacher does not do a lot of teaching so I may not pass the AP test and I am taking Spanish. However, it is not an AP so if i want credit I would need EEP credits (still applies to select schools). My question is do colleges require a history and language course?

It depends on the colleges you’re looking at. Check on their websites, or send then an e-mail to see. The admissions counselor should be able to answer all of your questions about transfer credits and applications.

It depends, some schools (such as those in Missouri) require a basic united states history course as well as a course in state history. Some schools require language courses as well. If I were you I would do some research into the colleges you are wanting to attend, call the general academic councilors at the school and ask them. They will be able to help.

Short answer, yes. But check with the schools you’re interested in attending, they’ll be able to give you details on their requirements. I’ve actually got to take an additional history before I transfer to my four year school. Good luck!
