Although a paragraph can consist of just one sentence, most of the papers and essays that you write in school usually involve stating a thesis and supporting that thesis. Therefore, each paragraph in support of that thesis will probably need more than one sentence for you to develop the idea and provide support for it.

To conform to Standard English, students are taught that sentences begin with capital letters and contain the appropriate punctuation marks. If you don’t want to use capital letters or punctuation marks for stylistic reasons, you can do so but it would be best suited for creative writing pieces. If you have to write papers for school or formal business letters, I would strongly recommend that you use the capital letters and punctuation marks. Unfortunately, if you don’t, some people might perceive you as being uneducated.

Few Christians believe that there is no eternal life. One of denominations of Christianity which does not believe in eternal life is the Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Elaborate more on what the J. witnesses’ beliefs.) Another Christian denomination which has a different view from the traditional Protestant belief about eternal life is the Roman Catholic Church. Catholics believe the human soul goes to heaven, hell, or purgatory. To Catholics, people in purgatory suffer as if they were in hell. However, once their sins are forgiven, they go to heaven. Furthermore, people on the street say there are no such places as heaven and hell and think religion is a “myth.” Do people really go to paradise or hell after death? Eternal life exists because in the Apostles’ Creed God “judges the quick and the dead.” Hence, all people ascend to paradise by angels or descend to hell by ferocious demons. – No offense, but please check your facts.
