The result of 71/7 is correct, and it is an improper fraction, but that’s fine.

(3) One fraction divided by another is the same as the first fraction TIMES the inverse of the second fraction.

The inverse of 61/7 is 7/61.

6/8 times 7/61 is obtained by multiplying numerators AND multiplying denominators. Can you do that?

6*7 = 42

8*61=488

Simplify when you’re done multiplying. (I did not do that. I’ll trust you.)

Lets convets it to normal fractions

(6/8) / (61/7)

How: 8 5/7 = (8*7 + 5) / 7

Now:

(6/8) / (61/7)

=> 6/8 * 17/6

=>17/8
