Near-sightedness in marketing? Look past the fast, easy answers. Ask “What conditions are subject to change?” “Who are my current and potential competitors?” “What is the potential market size, market share?” “How long will it take for a new product to make a profit, and can it do so before competitors enter the market?”
I don’t know that there are set steps except in a particular textbook, and they are phrased differently from one to another.
