Story” Poem?
🙂 Hey… i need a poem that tells a story. It is for my drama class. It needs to be not too long and not too short. I really dont want a love poem but any ideas or links to where i could get a could “story” poem would be great. I already googled it and cannot find anything.

I think you might be looking for a narrative poem or a ballad. “The Highwayman” by Alfred Noyes is one involving an outlaw, a romance, treachery, and death–however, it’s probably longer than a page if I recall. If you’re thinking of performing it…definitely possible!
If “The Highwayman” isn’t what you’re looking for, try searching under “ballad” rather than “poem that tells a story”.

How about Paul Revers Ride (sorry about the spelling but you know what I mean I hope.) it is an American classic and everyone used to have to learn it one upon a time or so I have heard. have fun.
