Simple Graphing Calculator Question?
Hey guys! I have question about my calculator, that I know is simple, but just don’t know how to do it. How would you graph the equation: 2x + y = -2? I have made it into slope intercept form to enter it into my TI-84 Plus, which is: y = -2 -2x. When I press graph, or trace, I get an error message. Of course, once I remove the negative sign, everything compiles fine. So, anybody know how to do it?
I have read my manual, but cannot find anything in it about that except that if you get an error message click on goto and it will take you to the mistake (remindes me of when I use BlueJ, a Java compiler). Anyways, thanks in advance for all the help.

When I used one at school, I always mixed up the negative sign and subtraction sign. Be sure you enter:
Y = (negative) 2 (minus sign) 2x
Hope that helps, if not then I have no idea.

A graphing calculator has a demonstrate screen able to exhibiting extra suitable than merely the two or 3 traces of numbers that a popular calculator does. With a huge demonstrate screen (often black & white) graphing a calculator can demonstrate graphs of equations entered and the extra progressed fashions will resolve those equations too. bigger end fashions provided by means of Texas units (TI 80 4, 80 4 Plus, and 89 and so on.) or casio fx 9850 or sharp additionally are able to graphing and fixing equations. yet a extra advantageous and much less costly answer in case you already very own an iphone is to acquire colour graphing apps or equations solvers for some money.
