Myka’s family is planning a trip from Washington to NYC. NYC is 227 miles from Washington, and the family can drive an average of 55 mi/h. ABOUT how long will the trip take?

take 227 and divide by 55
in match script it would 227/55
now if ya don’t have a calulator ( or can do the math in your head.. try this way, it’s a good way to check work like this also..

hum .. well there’s 55 : 110 : 165 : and then 220. so it would be 4 ( 4X55=220) with 7 left over … and that would be 7/55ths ( as a fraction ) or about 8 minutes
so the answear would be 4 and 7/55th hours. or 4 hours 8 minutes.( about.. depending on how closs you nead to be with your answear )
