Well as in the question u had mentioned it as

4/X – 4/(X+2) = 1. The solution is given in a step by step manner below:

4*(X+2) – 4*(X) = X*(X+2)

4X + 8 – 4X = X^2 + 2X

X^2 + 2X – 8 = 0

X^2 +4X – 2X – 8 =0

X(X+4) -2(X+4) = 0

(X-2) (X+4) = 0

Therefore X will be equal to 4 or -2 ………..

Do you mean —

(4/x)-(4/(x+2)) = 1

If so, get rid of the fractions by multiplying the denominators –>

4(x +2) – 4 (x) = 1(x+2)x

and solve it from there.
