1 (a) 40,000,000 is commonly called 40MB, but it’s actually 38.1469727 MB

1 (b)572.2 ML

1 (c) 268 CM

1 (d) 5.5 kilobucks.

2. It’s roughly 5 foot, 4.96 inches.

4. I’ve never seen a dorm room that big. That’s the size of a (very) small house.

5. They’re going the same speed. 97 km is 60.273 mph, but after you round to two significant digits, it’s 60 mph.

6. 63 cubic centimeters.

Basic metric:

1 Mb = 1,000,000 bytes

1 Kb = 1000 bytes

1 cm = 0.01 meter

1 inch = 2.54 cm

12 in = 1 foot

1 mile = 1.6 km

3.3 feet = 1 meter

2.2 pounds = 1 kg

0.035 ounces = 1 gram -> not sure what you need for #6

5) Car travelling at 97km/hr is faster. Cos car travelling at 60mi/hr = 95.6km/hr only

6) 7.9g = 1cm3

500g = 1/7.9 x 500

= 63.3cm3
