well most people sit around and watch tv 3 hours- 5 hours a day some to get news some for entertainment but it still draws a very high number of people. the computer changes the way everything works from internet to flash games. our world needs these things to work right so in a matter of speaking yes we are slaves to technology but in an opposite way technology is slave to us. without us there is no technology because we make it so technology needs people as much as we need it. here are some exellent examples of why we need technology think if you had to cook meals everyday using a fireplace no stove no toaster no microwave no refrigerator it could take hours for a simple meal and without refrigerators we would have to go back to dangerous cattel drives just for meat. we might need a lot of paper cups and string if we didnt have phones there would be more deaths becuase emergency teams could not no about it for a good hour or until they saw smoke. but with all the technology we have we need more than half of it its like having a president some people would rather have many leaders than just one but that would make the enterie country change pretty fast so even if we dont like it we NEED it so in many ways yes we just want new technologys but more than ever we need them for our own good
