External – If you are in freezing temps without protective clothing your skin kinda shrinks together (goosebumps?), your blood thickens, and the flow is directed to protect the brain and major organs like heart – that’s part of the reason toes and fingers will start freezing first.
Internal – your stomach growls – your body needs fuel – you eat.
