pet peeve essay??
Favorite Answer
many teachers support the essay that has a intro, three paragraphs, and a conclusion. Maybe I’d do that…it’s easiest.
Like, say your pet peeve is…um…people who stereotype.
Then maybe for your introduction you’d say:
There are approximately 6,602,224,175 individuals inhabiting our planet today, and hundreds if not thousands of distinct cultures. So why is it that people choose to stereotype, undoubtedly fitting countless people in groups in which they do not belong? Stereotyping promotes ethnocentrism, narrow-mindedness, and bad feelings.
Ethnocentrism is a…blahblah. Then write about how that negatively affects everybody
Narrow-mindedness is a blahblah. Write about how that negatively affects everybody.
Bad feelings…same.
Conclusion…briefly sum up everything, then maybe say something pompous, like a new future featuring politcal and international utopia or maybe just saying that stereotyping is a demeaning thing and should be squashed underfoot in the manner of a cockroach, which, by the way, can run on two legs at top speeds 😀
Hope I didn’t ramble too much. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE. Thank you.
Then I’d continue to explain how long i’ve had the peeve, where it originated from, and stories where i remember it happening.
