Math problem help?

hey can someone help me out on this, i tried solving it but can someone tell me if it’s right or wrong?

A regular light bulb costs 0.55 $ and 6$ of electricity every 1000 hours ($0.006/h).

An energy saver light bulb costs 1.55$ and uses $4 of electricity every 1000 hours ($0.004/h)

Let h hours represent the time for which the light bulbs are left burning.

Let c dollars represent the cost of the electrcity used.

C = 0.55 + 0.006h

C= 1.55 + 0.004h

a) solve the linear system – i got h= 500, and c=1.57 *is it right or wrong???

b) Explain what the solution represents, ( i said it represents the cost of electricty used is 1.57$ and the hours which the lights are left burning is 500 hours..

c) which bulb is cheaper to use? explain

that’s where i’m stuck, how can i solve this? is the rest of my solution right or wrong?

a) problem. If you substitute 500 in for h you get 3.55 not 1.57

b) What this solution represents is the break even point. That is at 500 hours there is no difference in cost to operate.

c) At less than 500 hours the regular bulb is cheaper, over 500 the energy saving bulb is cheaper.
