After World War 1, did Australia and Great Britain stay allies?

Fill me in, it’s for an essay. All help is appreciated.

Australia and Britain have never been the same country. When it means that Australia was part of the British Empire, it means that it recognises the Queen as the head of state. Following World War 1, Australia and Great Britain did remain allies. Also, they were allies against the Nazis in World War 2. Even today, Australia and Great Britain remain allies.

I believe that Australia was actually a part of the British empire in those days. So of course, they were allies. They were one country 🙂
