slope intercept form: y=mx + b

-4y=-3x+24 (just transpose 3x to the other side)

if you want your y to be positive, multiply both sides by -1:

-1(-4y=-3x+24)

4y=3x-24

if slope intercept form is y=mx+b keep reading if you arn’t sure keep reading and if it isn’t pay no attention

if at any time you have an ephiphny move on

3x-4y=24

-4y=24-3x

y=3/4x-6 intercept is -6 slope is 3/4

1.start with 3x-4y=24

2. Put 3x to other side -4y=24-3x

3. Divide by -4 on both sides…. (-4/-4=1) 1y=-6+3/4x

4. Simplify y= -6+3/4x or y= 3/4x -6

Solve the equation for y so the equation is in the form:

y = mx + b, where b is a constant (and is the y-intercept). m is the slope.
