Boy, that debate question is loaded against your position, isn’t it?

Fortunately, there are plenty of good angles you can take.

1. You could take the position of expansion of freedom of thought and free/open communication being the epitome of morality.

2. You could argue that information on the Internet of any kind, much like the books in the library, can’t be considered moral or immoral.

3. You could argue that morality is determined by action, and not by information. Despite the fact there’s porn and neo-nazi propaganda online, what PEOPLE do with that information is immoral.

4. There are websites that promote morality, just as there are websites that don’t. Same thing with anything in the real world.

I hope I at least jogged your thought-process.

No, the Internet is not a threat to morality for several reasons. Reason 1. Scientific discovery and technology is neither good nor bad. It is their application that is judged that way.

Reason 2. The Internet at it core is simply a method of sharing and communicating data.

Morality is a myth in the first place. The internet just lets people explore things they normally would be unable to in real life, but still have an interest in.
