I need help writing my 1 1/2 minute speech about why i should be president of AVID club? Help please?
im running for president for avid club and i need help on writing a small speech. What should i say in the beginning? What should i say to convince them?

Stress service. That you’ll be there for them. That you’re not in it for the glory-or the entry on your resume.
You could say something funny in the beginning…like… “I would like to read you a telegram I received this morning from President Bush (or someone who carries a lot of clout with the AVID crowd): Harry (or whatever your name is), umm….uhh…umm…oh yeah! Listen, good luck on that AVID thing and umm…uhh…umm…oh yeah! The job’s still open in Washington whenever you want it, kid. Laura and I send our best.
