ok. y= -x + 3

………..^……^

slope y-intercept

slope= -1

y intercept= +3

you have your x and y axis, x horizontal, y vertical.

you go up 3 marks on the y axis and make a point. and then rise over run (slope. which is negative 1 over positve one. so at the three where you have your point, you go left horizontally one space (in the negative direction) and then up one (in the positive direction. at that point, you draw your point and connect the dots.

Oh this ones easy…plug it into your graphing calculator or…use your head. The 3 is the y-intercept so it intercepts on the why axis at 3. – x is your slope but there is no number thereso it is 1. because it is negative…you start from the y-intercept and go down one, right one…again…down one, right one until u reach the 0,0. Your graph should look like a linear line going slanted to the right. Im in Algebra2 Honors so if this help…

3 is the Y intercept.. so you plot 0,3 first. The slope is -1/1. So, starting at (0,3) go down 1 and to the right 1. That’s your second point. Keep going with the points or your teacher might mark it wrong. Good luck. πŸ™‚

Oh yeah, the graph just looks like a straight slant I guess. Like a slope. πŸ˜› (slope intercept form: y=mx+b)

A line is y=m(x) + b

Where m is the slope, in this case 1 or 1/1. b is the y intercept, for x=0, y=3.

The line should be upwards at 45 degrees thru (0,3)

Its a line. the coefficient of the x is the slope. the number is the y intercept. plot the y intercept then use the slope to find another point.
