Place your cursor in your text where you want the symbol to appear. Then hold down the Ctrl key and hit the w key (do Ctrl-w, in other words). This will bring up a small window that allows you to select alternative characters. Use your cursor and left mouse button to select the “Multinational” set from the drop down “set” menu at the top of the window. Then move your cursor to the symbol you want and left click to select it. Finally, move your cursor to the “Insert” button and left click it to insert the character. To avoid having to do this whole routine over and over again, just insert the character once and then copy and paste it wherever else you need it.

Cheers …. Charles

Hold down ALT and press 164 on your num pad. Also, an accent mark and a tilde are two different things.

Find “insert symbol” I think its under tools. Then there is a bar that says a certain font, keep looking through them until you see the one with spanish fonts. Good luck.
