for math im doing
what is the most you have spent on a pair of shoes?
im drawing a bar graph
but i dont kno wat goes on the x and y axis like money or sumthing

I suggest you draw a timeline first. What is the period of shoe purchases are you considering? Place the time line on the x-axis, say every month. Since your report is on “how much” and not “how many”, you use the y-axis as reference for how much you spent. Below the graph include a note which may be helpful for the readers: what is the average cost of the shoes you purchased for that particular month. (amount spent on shoes per month/the number of shoes)…I’m sure you know how to optimize excel charts…it’ll make it so much easier…g’luck!

If you are surveying people, you would put each person’s ID on the x axis and the money on the y axis. Money should go on the y axis regardless of what you put on the x axis.
