Help me factor 4x^2-8x+12.?

4(x^2 – 2x + 3)

the equation can’t be factored anymore because the last number the 3 must be positive and the 2 must be negative. A negative 3 and a postive 1 will give you negative 2 but not postive 3

Dividing by 4, we get

x^2 – 2x + 3, which can be written as x^2 – 2x + 1 + 2 and which can be written as

(x – 1)^2 + 2

So, we can write the factors as
