Math Homework Question?

Okay, this is the next math problem that in the textbook I have to use and it says this exactly: On the following coordinate plane, A (-5,5), B (-1,7), and C (8,4) are three of the vertices of a PARALLELOGRAM. Use the distance and/or slope formula to plot D, the fourth vertex of the parallelogram. Please solve this if you can and explain it in a way a 7th grader can understand (I’m taking algebra this year). Thanks!!!

Do you have any formulas that you need to use.??

A few things I know are that a parallelogram has four side and a vertice is a corner of the parallelogram

you need to label your points x1, y1, x1,x2 etc. and then plug them into the formula. then solve

slope(M) is y2-y1divided by x2-x1

your slope will look like a fraction be a number, for example 1/2, which means you up and over. If either number is negative be sure to move in the opposite direction meaning down and over
