Help me with this math/algebra question, please?
And show/explain how to get to the result?
Thank you. <3 Last week Robin did 30 sit-ups in one minute. Today, she did 45 in one minute, Her coach told her she had improved 150%. Is this correct? Explain.
Favorite Answer
1. what is 50% of 30?
2. take that answer and add it to 30 and what do you get?
I can’t tell you the answer though
30 situps per min= 100%
ok so
45-30=15
15 of 30=50%
add the 100% which is 30
and the 50% which is 15
45=150%
I don’t know any other way to explain but I hope you can understand! I have issues with math so I know how hard it is to understand sometimes…
a 150% improvement would mean she did 1 1/2 times as many sit-ups.
example: going from 30 to 60 would be a 100% improvement.
30 to 75 would be a 150% improvement.
The answrs is that it is correct because if u divide the 30 situps by 100 you get 0.3 and if you times the 0.3 by the 150% the answer is 45. I hope this helps you in some way.
x=(45-30)/30
