(both parents and the children they’ve had, whether they are the same children or not)

•You. Circle yourself under bother of your parents. That is the endpoint.

You should probably include names for each section… Circle the ones in the chains, like if your grandparents had say…5 children… you would circle the ones that were your parents.

My daughter had to do this her sophmore year in hs. Lot of work, but probably a good experience.

Some people use horizontal lines to represent the generations and vertical lines between one generation and an older one. Marriage is shown by an = sign usually.
