Help equation of a line y-intercept is 0?

I have two points (1, 3) and (3, 9) I solved the slope to be 3 and then tried to solve for the b-value (y-intercept) using the

y = mx + b model and plugged in all my information I then found b to equal 0, what would my equation then be? It can’t be a vertical line since my slope is not undefined.

Y intercept mean the point where the line intercepts the y-axis. If b was let’s say 7 then the line would cross the y-axis at 7. In your case, with it being 0, it would cross at the origin y=0.

When you look for the y intercept x is 0 and when you find the x intercept y is 0.

To finish the previous answer, yes, b=0, and your equation boils down to y=3x.
