It is what it sounds like. Freedom to say whatever you want. Newspapers, radio shows, public speakers…they can all say whatever they want, whether it’s true or not.

Thanks to the Patriot Act, however, President Bush has made it so that people can’t say whatever they want. Since your papers not about that, I won’t go into it, but our rights are being constrained, yet we do nothing about it. Interesting.

Freedom of speech is in the constituion. It’s a part of our history; we were founded by a government that was focused on the people, what they wanted, what they thought, and how they felt. The government actually took the people’s opnions into consideration. Funny how things change, right?

Well, as others wrote it is ur right to express yourself through written or oral language. Of course as any other right it has its limitations. Your right ends when other people right`s begins. It means you cant use it to harm or offend anyone else.

Of course this is kind of an Utopian concept, cause it is used by governments, and certain groups to just shut your mouth up about something you dislike or just don’t concur.

It’s worth noting that the US has an agency that exists to censor public media, the FCC.
