I really need hepl with these math problems, anyone please!!?

1. John has five more than twice the number of CDs that Kate has. Together they have 100 CDs.

2. Three times the second of three consecutive integers is equal to five times the first.

3. Joe travels 200 miles to visit his family for the holidays. If he travels 70 miles per hour, how long will it take him to make the trip.

4. Show all work. -5-2(3x-4)=22

5. Show all work. 4(7-2x)=-10x-2

6. Write the algebraic equation for the following statement. Solve the equation and give both answers.

Hank and Sally went shopping for school supplies at the local discount store. Hank realized that the price of two pencils was the same as a blue pen. When checking out, Sally paid $15 for the ten pencils and five pens for Hank and her. What was the price for one pen and the price for one pencil?

7. Solve the equation and give all three answers. The sum of the third and twice the first of three consecutive odd integers is 49. Find all three consecutive odd integers.

1) Kate has 25 and John has 55 CDs. John has twice the number of CDs than Kate which is 50 and also has five more which makes it 55. If u add those two they equal to 100 CDs.

2) 3 , 5 , 7. 3 times 5 (which is the second number in the sequence) is 15 and 5 times 3 (which is the first number in the sequence) is 15.

3) You do the distance divided by the speed, which is

200/70 = 3 hours and 26 minutes.

4) -5-2(3x-4)=22

First you expand the brackets (you multiply the numbers outside the brackets with the ones inside the brackets. E.g. -5 times 3 is equal to -15x and and -5 times -4 is equal to +20 because you “cancel out” the negative sign and so on.)

–> -15x + 20 – 6x + 8 = 22

Then you take all the “x” numbers to one side and the numbers to the other side. It’s better if you put the “x” numbers in the right side so u can get rid of the negative sign.

–> 20 + 8 – 22 = 15x + 6x

Then you just simplify

–> 6 = 21x

So

–> x = 21/6

Answer

–> x = 3.5

5) 4(7-2x)=-10x-2

First you expand the brackets (you multiply the numbers outside the brackets with the ones inside the brackets. E.g. 4 times 7 is equal to 28 and 4 times – 2x is equal to -8x so on..)

–> 28 – 8x = -10x – 2

This time you keep the “x” numbers in the left side sothat u wont get a negative number when u subtract 8 from 10 in the end. It’s better if u always try and keep “x” a positive number)

–> 10x – 8x = -28 – 2

Simplify

–> 2x = -30

So

–> x = -30/2

Answer

–> x = -15

6) The price of one pencil is $0.75 and the price of one pen is $1.50. If you try it out you’ll see that 10 times $0.75 is $5 and 5 times $1.50 is $7.50 again. If you add those two answers you get $15.

7) You just need to guess a little here.. I just kept guessing a few consecutive odd integers and found these 3.

–> 15, 17, 19.

Twice 15 is 30 plus 19 is 49!

Answer

–> 15, 17, 19.

Hope this helps!!! (you shouldn’t ask for help in the future though coz u’ll get nowhere…)

You just posted an entire homework assignment. What HELP do you need in particular? Where, specifically, are you stuck? If you don’t understand any of it, it’s time to speak with your teacher, parents and/or a tutor. Pick ONE problem at a time, show your work and explain where you’re stuck. Right now, it just looks like you want someone else to do your homework. I trust that’s not your intention, so please – elaborate (use ADD DETAILS).

i can give you the equations for some…you will need to figure them out on your own however.

1) 2x+5=100

3) 200/70

5)

4(7-2x)=10x-2

28 -8x = 10x-2

28-2-8x = 10x

26 = 2x

13 = x

6) 2P = 1B & 15=10P (they only want the equations, they don’t want you to solve. it’s a trick question
