Here’s also a tip on searching for something on the net. Try typing quotations around whatever your searching for and you’ll get more narrowed results.

Your grandmother will love some of these sites in particular the ones that have audio. Save then ans she will want to replay then time and again.

Your mother had a wonderful idea. There are also greeting cards that can be purchased geared to the year that your grandmother was born.

Or you could check wikipedia by the year, for specific events.

Or you could look up your local newspaper, or the local newspaper in the city where she was born, and check out grocery ads, etc., there.
