1. We require sources for basic survival more than wisdom, perhaps instinct is of greater importance? Also more material tools for survival that provide sustenance.

2. Other cognitions are of equal importance, if not more importance, for instance empathy is extremely important to the continual functioning of society which is surely more important than wisdom which serves more for progression?

3. You could also argue that it is dependent on how the wisdom is used; what is the use of people having wisdom if they put it to no use and they just know things for the sake of knowing them?

4. Certain wisdom may be harmful; it is better that we don’t know some things(you could use the ‘playing god’ argument of many religious people), and also use the ‘ignorance is bliss’ quote.

5. You could argue that the world is very vast, it is silly and reductionist to dismiss everything in the world and decide that one thing is of most importance and thus ignoring all other important things in the world.

6. You could also present the argument that even if wisdom is of most importance to human beings we are not there are other life forms on earth. How useful is wisdom going to be to a bloody tree for god sake?

I hope that I’ve given you some ideas.

One persons wisdom can be another persons death.

see Titanic

It is a perspective, what was wisdom for a Roman, coal fire ovens, is doom for all humanity, global warming from carbon monoxide gases.

Good wisdom with a clear focus on helping others and harming none is a rare thing.

It is a perspective, everything is perspective.

Food, water, warmth…. They’re pretty useful. Also, what is wisdom instead of knowledge? Is there a difference between being wise and actually having knowledge?
