Can someone please help me, this is confusing.?
It takes 1 hour longer to fly to St. Paul at 200 mph than it does to return at 250 mph. How far away is St. Paul?

if you use the identity that distance = speed x time you get two equations:
simpler one is:
d = 250t
other you add the one hour to t because its ‘one hour longer’ so same time as when your going at 250mph plus 1
d = 200(1 +t)
the distance is same so equate both equations:
250t = 200(1+t)
t = 4
Putting t back into the first equations d = 1000miles
Hope it makes sense
