My son did fine pre-school & head start then started showing problems. Though put in a special class it didn’t help much. It turned out among other things he had dyslexia & a visual problem though 20/20 vision that it took a specialist to find.
Something isn’t computing right if it’s only 3 classes. The most common classes for learning disabilities are reading, english & math. With those 3 problems it makes the other classes more difficult than need be.
I could probably answer better with you grade in school and the classes you’re failing.
Learning disabilities don’t make you dumb. In some ways my son is one of the sharpest people I’ve ever known. But things have to be explained to him differently for him to grasp them. Once he does it sticks and he does fine.
Your mom stressing out with the tears don’t help matters either. When I’d get emotional it became harder for him to retain what he was being taught because he hated upsetting me. So he’d try harder only to end up more frustrated. If it was just a simple matter of studying harder anyone could do it.
When my husband was in college I could question him on anything he was learning & he knew it inside out. But would take tests or be asked questions in class and his mind would go blank or the answers would get all mixed up in his head. My son was the same way. Once he was diagnosed and a treatment plan created he thrived after being held back for a couple of years he ended up graduating on time.
If you know you’re trying your best and it’s not working you need to find out why. If you e-mail me I could go into it better. Hope this helps.
If you asked this in the homeschool section because you are interested in homeschooling, then look into it more. Find out about the laws where you live, find out about online programs or just regular homeschooling, talk to some homeschool groups, and, of course, talk to your mom.
If your mom is always crying, then it sounds like she’s depressed. Perhaps the two of you have some tough stuff going on, or perhaps just her? If her crying has nothing to do with you, then really do your best to get her to talk to somebody. If she can’t pay for a counsellor, pastors and priests are usually very open to having people come in and talk. If it has to do with you failing school, then you’ll just have to accept that she’s an emotional person. Do well in school for YOU. You’re worth it.
Study, pay attention and do your best. Your mom really wants you to be a well educated and prepared young adult for when you go out in the world and have to provide a living for yourself and possibly a family!
Good luck!!
I do suggest you stay in school and do your best.. also Highly recommend you see a counsellor regarding your own stresses, why you hate school so much and what kind of pressure you are under from home.
Your mom should also seek counselling. Her issues are Not your fault!
Take care of you, please stay in school and do your best and please love yourself.. learn what it is to be your own best friend and Never let anyone treat you less than.
btw .. crying won’t hurt anyone .. sometimes its actually a healing thing..
All the best.

What you can do, is make an effort to work harder. Go to tutoring programs, ask a friend for help, work with the teacher to help you get better grades in your classes. As for your mom, talk with her. Tell her why you’re having problems. And try to get her to help you.
I wish you good luck! Succeeding in school is certainly important. =]
You start studying, get off the computer and start a life of school and growing up.
You really will the stuff you learn in school when you are older. Spelling words correct when typing and not having to rely on spell check, using words over 4 letters long, knowing how to follow directions of a map, or other things.
I know i am the one that started that question… When will I ever need any of this stuff? Well my teachers could not tell me. ..so let me tell you. “The day you get out of school and get into the real life you will need all the stepping stones you learned in school so you do not sink into the muck of the world and get lost.”
School gives you a good solid foundation to stand on as you keep on learning and moving forward. Keep moving on down your yellow brick road and learn more along the way. You need to learn something new each day to broaden your horizons.
