Homeschool?

What is it called when kids only go to school one day of the week? Is there a name for that? Also can someone explain what that is to me? Do they go to school some days and get homeschooled online the rest?

If a child is being homeschooled, parents sometimes have their children attend classes via a co-op one or more days a week.

Also, there are “public school at home” programs that have children attend classes one day a week. For example, for a brief while before I began to homschool my child, he was enrolled in a home-based “public school at home” program via a virtual charter school We had to be in contact with his “homeroom teacher” at least one day a week. He was able required to attend a science class, one day a week, for one and a half hours, at a learning center which was taught by his “homeroom teacher.” Also, the school created classes/clubs based on various student interests.

I hope this is helpful.

I homeschool my kids and we do school at home or at the park everyday. There are such things as co-ops, which are local programs for homeschooling families to get together and have class so that the children will learn socializing skills and such. We go to co-op one day per week and it adds to our curriculum at home. I hope this helps.

It is called a virtual academy or home based school.Students study on-line an hour per subject per day,Students meet twice a month to interact with other home based students and teachers. The school actually provides everything the student needs including a computer.

i always feel sorry for homeschool kids. they get eaten alive in the real world. i see it over and over – they’re lost – don’t know how to act – don’t know the rules – you can spot a homeschool kid/adult from a mile – it’s pathetic.
