Are there any good auction sites to sell my homeschool curriculum?

Ebay won’t allow teacher’s editions, so I can’t sell them on there. I know HSLDA offers auctions but I am not a member. I really need a good site where I can get some of my money back on these books.

The only “auction” site I know of is eBay and it *is* possible to get around their “no teacher’s editions” rule by advertising it as homeschool materials.

Amazon allows sales, but it’s not an auction; you list the price. If CraigsList is available in your area, that’s another option. There’s also VegSource, which has a whole area dedicated to buying and selling of homeschool materials. You should also check out the Yahoo! Groups as there are several devoted to buying and selling used curricula.

Yes, VegSource is a good place.

Yahoo Groups has several curriculum swap boards. We even have a local one.

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine started a site when Ebay disallowed teacher’s editions:

Although it is not exactly an auction, you can sell homeschool items at www.vegsource.com – you will need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to find the homeschool discussion board.

I’ve sold alot of my used Abeka and Saxon items on Amazon and Half.com…but those are not auctions, just listings…

I also go to used homeschool book stores and offer them to look through my boxes of books.

Hope this helps,

A friend of mine told me about this site. It’s not an auction site, but they have “swap boards” on there, one group of boards for items for sale and another for items wanted to buy. Then maybe you could not only sell your old curriculum, but also buy your next curriculum as well.

I also found this by doing a search on google. It doesn’t look very active, but could be worth a shot…

Why do no longer you attempt donating them to a diverse homeschooling kin who would desire to get some use out of them? If, notwithstanding you’re basically purpose on merchandising them reason you opt for funds, verify with bookstores. a good number of places will purchase books, like Hastings shops.

Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) has a used bookstore on their website. Members only – worth checking out.

Depending on where you live….check out www.craigslist.org Many communities use this source heavily and will pick up the items instead of shipping.

Good luck
