Now, as far as home school in the area where you plan on moving, there should be several choices to choose from.
I would start here: http://www.lancaster.k12.ca.us/ and inquire about home school programs in that area.

If you are looking into using your own curriculum, I think you might run into a little bit of trouble. If you do get the list of standards, you can teach them however you want, you just have to get everything to the auditor on time. I havent had any experience with any kind of private program that just works with the state. I wish I did. Good luck in your search!
