Did you fill out your FAFSA? Stafford student loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) are government backed, so they do not look at your credit score when determining your eligibility. You can also try to get a private student loan through a company like Citibank. If you have to go the private loan route, shop around for the best interest rate. You may also need a cosigner if your credit is really bad. Good luck!

If you go to www.fafsa.ed.gov check you are interested in student loans. You will not have to have a cosigner and will not have to go thorugh a credit check. You can’t be defaulted on a student loan however…
