As has been pointed out, you’d need to get a private loan to get close to that amount. I think the most I’ve ever seen lent was $30k even though the 40k is what is advertised as being available. So even private loans may not be enough.

In order to maximize your chances try applying at several places, Astrive has been mentioned, but also try Chase Bank, you can reach them through http://www.usadegees.com/chase/ and Student Loan Advisors at http://www.studentloanadvisors.com/

I’ll end with the same comment others have offered, borrow what you need to get your education, but be careful not to get in too deep. You’re goal is to better your life, don’t start off on the wrong foot.

Good Luck!

Private Student Loan Benefits:

– Repay after graduation

– Funds sent to you fast

– Cosigner release option available

– Easy to apply 24/7 by phone or online

– Loans are available for undergrad, graduate & continuing education

As you determine the best way to finance your education, you should consider the full range of student financial aid options available. Private Student Loans from ChaseStudentLoans.com can be used either alone or when federal loans, grants and other forms of financial aid are not sufficient to cover the full cost of higher education.

Ouch! That’s a very expensive school. I hope you wouldn’t have to borrow that each year for 4 years. My advise: any school that expensive has to have means to pay for it. Talk to the schools financial aid office. Try to start with the federal loans first-max out those amounts- then if you have to go to the private loans, but be careful, those have higher interest rates and fees. I’m attaching a publication. In the back are the maximum amounts you can borrow for fed loans.

Good rule of thumb when borrowing, only borrow total amount of what you can expect to earn your first year upon graduating.
