529 Fund, Possible to get Computer?

Hello. I’m currently attending college as a Visual/Graphic Arts major -menaing, next semester I’ll be taking animation/graphic classes using a computer. My grandma, before passing on, set up a 529 college savings plan for me, which works well. However, recently my computer broke. For those who attend college, they know that it is virtually impossible to get all their work done without acess to a computer.

Just about everything I’ve read says that it is very difficult if not impossible to manage to get a computer using the 529 plan, because it is not ‘required’, which I think is absurd. An ESA allows a student to get a computer no problem.

My question is whether anyone knows a loophole or something into allowing me acess to my funds to get a computer. Any help anyone can give is much appreciated

You should talk to a financial aid officer at your school. Some schools require students to have a computer, so they may be of assistance in helping you with the 529. Good luck!

What I see is that the computer must be required in order to use the 529 plan for it……

No. a working laptop or malicious application is merely lines of malicious code. It can not harm a man or woman – biologically. it would desire to harm your psychologically, on account which you grow to be extremely annoyed which you have caught a scourge on your pc. you will desire to be the two getting the flu or hypersensitive reactions.
